Six-I-Ka is the traditional name of the Blackfoot people. This man is Six-I-Ka from Montana. He is shown wearing his traditional fancy dancer regalia and holding his eagle wing prayer fan is in his hand. I chose to paint him because of his significance as a guardian of the matriarch. He has participated in the Sun dance 4 times and is a pipe carrier, a very sacred honor among his people.
